Lets start my saying this is a old photo.Nothing has changed in the lion exhibit accept the poor lions have died or have moved to better zoos. This exhibit has stay the same since 1928, why care now ?

I sent this to the Detroit Free Press Today.

Poor lions they have to live at the Detroit Zoo. " Detroit Zoo is Awful " It's really sad to see the lions living in such poor conditions.Why build a new exhibit now,you haven't cared about the lions since the zoo opened in 1928.Detroit just move the lions to a better zoo.The Detroit Zoo should be closed.The Detroit Zoo can't compare to the Toledo Zoo, Columbus Zoo, or Toronto Zoo.These zoos are first class.
Take a trip to the Toledo Zoo 1hour away from Detroit Zoo, the Toledo Zoo is newer and cleaner.
Toledo,Columbus  and the Toronto Zoo the animals are much happier. Don't get me wrong all animals would rather be FREE. Mr . Kagan I have found a much better zoo, anything but Detroit. Please for the lions sake move them to a better home.
